I grew up in the Midwest and lilacs and peonies grew abundant all over, everywhere. Just like rhubarb grows wild in a forgotten corner of a yard, lilacs grow wild and bushy along unsightly chain-link fences. I love their fragrant, numerous mini blossoms and vivid colors of purple, rich pink and crisp white. I cherish the memory of my mother cutting fresh lilacs and placing them in the antique white ceramic vase she used especially for her lilacs. When I briefly lived in Livingston, Montana a couple years back, I was delighted when early summer brought a plethora of lilac bushes to life all over downtown…
I saw this blog entry on 100 Layer Cake today and I feel in love with the lilac floral designs. I think this natural, farmer’s market look is perfect for any Jackson Hole wedding… So lovely, so charming…
